There apparently are 1,200 islands here. The one we are now on has a city that was started by Greek sailors 400 BC. That makes it nearly as old as the few ancient Italian cities. You get a glimpse of it in the background of the first picture. They officially mark there 24th century in two years. Amazing when you think that our whole county is not even close to its 2nd century.
We ended the evening at a piano bar listening to the music of this old guy I met yesterday when I found our rental boat. He trained as a musician and has been playing for well over 50 years--great music!!
Otto, that boat in the third picture is 200 ft long. It seems in this place you do not even qualify for preferred mirage unless you are at least 130 ft! And most of these boats only stay over night!
The jungle-like picture was just behind a boat-in only bar on one of the islands. Olivaira (spelling??) plants (like we keep in a pot) where growing leaves over 10ft long!
