Our last day on one if the many beach-bays in Hvar city. The water is so salty that even I can float!
I think the reason that there are so few fish I'm these waters is the fact that the water is saltier than usual. This also might account for why the water is so crystal clear--too salty for microplankton to live.
Palace of Diocletian as it appeared 500 years ago. It was actually constructed 1,700 years ago. This is the forth UNESCO Worlf Heritage Site we have visited in our fist two weeks.
Incredible farmers market with hundreds of vendors. Open daily.
One of the many castle chambers where they are filming Game of Thrones--a massive production with dozens of trailers outside to house production and support crew.
Within the palace walls are several miles of narrow walkways with rooms all along which serve as homes, restaurants, and even a shopping mall with many modern shops housed in ancient rock rooms!
One of the entry ways to the "shopping mall".
We took a city bus from here to our airport accommodation.
Venice tomorrow
